Changing ELD Bluelink Settings

There are some rare cases when you will need to make more complex adjustments to the ELD hardware than the normal app will allow.  Instances when this is required is

1) if you switch vehicles and swap out a cable

2) the engine warning light is coming on when plugged in

3) the ELD is not picking up drive events when the vehicle goes into motion

If you have any of these issues, you will need to download a separate admin app to set the hardware settings.  The app is called Bluelink Admin in Android and Bluelink Config in Apple App Store which can be found at

iOS  https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bluelink-config/id1488319469

Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wlius.bluelinkadmin

Once you download the admin app, open the app when you are within Bluetooth range of the ELD Bluelink hardware and ensure the blue light on the ELD hardware is blinking.  Ensure the that the BridgeHaul app is NOT open and connected to the AOBRD/ ELD.

Click the SCAN button at the top right-hand corner as shown.

Once it locates the bluelink device, click on that device and it will take you into the settings area as shown below. Make sure the truck key is in standby to power up the dash.  Locate the "JBus Config" section.

If you are switching to an OBD-II setup (e.g. light duty truck), ensure that OBDII is selected.  If it is a diesel engine, check the box OBDII diesel engine as well (in the section below titled OBDII mode).  Once completed, hit the back button.  Rescan to ensure the changes were saved and then close out the app.

If you are switching from a 6-pin to a 9-pin, select the "J1939/ OBDII" option in JBus config.

If you are switching from a 9-pin to a 6-pin select J1708 only (6 pins) and check the box J1708 Request allowed just below the Jbus config area.

If there are multiple odometer sources in the section Odometer Sources, select the option that is most accurate to your current odometer.
