How to use Your BridgeHaul Fuel Card at the Pump?

Follow the prompts at the pump typically always using your Driver ID or Vehicle ID.

Before You Fuel

Before starting, make sure you have:

  • Your BridgeHaul Fuel Card
  • Your driver ID or PIN, if required
  • Your current odometer reading
  • Your truck or unit number, if required
  • The correct fuel location that accepts the card (Use Mobile App). Click this link to setup Mobile App: How to Setup Driver Mobile App

Step 1: Insert or Swipe Your Fuel Card

At the pump, insert or swipe your BridgeHaul Fuel Card when prompted.

Depending on the fuel station, the screen may ask you to select a card type or payment option. Follow the pump prompts and continue to the next step.

Step 2: Enter Your Driver Information

The pump may ask for driver-specific information, such as:

  • Driver ID
  • PIN
  • Unit number
  • Truck number
  • Odometer reading

Enter the requested information carefully. This information helps match the fuel transaction to the correct driver, truck, and account.

In some fleets, your Fleet Admin may use your Driver ID or another internal number instead of the actual odometer reading. If you are unsure what to enter when the pump asks for “Odometer Reading,” check with your Fleet Admin so you know which value your company requires.

Step 3: Select the Fuel Type

Choose the correct fuel type for your truck.

Common options may include:

  • Diesel
  • DEF
  • Reefer fuel, if available and approved

Make sure you select the correct product before fueling.

Step 4: Begin Fueling

Once the card is approved, remove the nozzle and begin fueling.

Do not leave the pump unattended while fueling. Once fueling is complete, return the nozzle to the pump.

Step 5: Get Your Receipt

After fueling, select “Yes” if the pump asks whether you want a receipt.

Keep your receipt for your records. Receipts may be needed to verify purchases, review fuel discounts, or resolve billing questions.

Important Reminders

  • Only use the BridgeHaul Fuel Card for approved fuel purchases.
  • Enter the correct odometer and unit information when prompted.
  • Fuel discounts may vary by location.
  • Some locations may require you to go inside if the card does not process at the pump.
  • If the card is declined, double-check that the location accepts the card and that the information entered was correct.

What to Do If the Card Does Not Work

If your BridgeHaul Fuel Card does not work at the pump:

  1. Try the transaction again and make sure all information is entered correctly.
  2. Go inside and ask the cashier to run the card manually.
  3. Confirm that the station accepts the fuel card.
  4. Contact your Admin or have your Admin contact BridgeHaul CustomerCare if the issue continues.

When contacting BridgeHaul, please provide:

  • Driver name
  • Company name
  • Last 4 digits of the fuel card
  • Fuel location name and address
  • Date and time of attempted transaction
  • Error message shown at the pump, if available
