ELD Adverse Weather Condition

The adverse driving conditions exception allows property-carrying drivers who encounter unexpected driving conditions to extend their maximum 14-hour on-duty and 11-hour driving time periods (found in Section 395.3 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) when certain conditions are met.  

In order to use adverse conditions you simply just need to add a comment in the driving event that was impacted by the adverse conditions under EDIT-->HOS Logs.  You can add "Adverse driving condition exception" and click SAVE.  

You will still see a violation since you exceeded 14 hours but this is not flagged to an officer and they will see your comment that you were using the adverse driving exception.
