Assigning Unclaimed Events

Unclaimed driving events are registered to a driver when the vehicle is in motion while no driver was connected to the ELD via bluetooth.  When this happens it stores the driving event on ELD hardware and asks the driver to claim the event once the driver reconnects to the ELD via bluetooth.

If the driver clicks ACCEPT, the driving event will be inserted into the drivers logs automatically.  If the driver does not believe the driving event is attributed to his account (e.g. another driver operated the vehicle before him), then he can click REJECT.  If a driver rejects an event it is sent to the carrier dashboard to be reassigned back to a driver and an unclaimed driver profile will show up on the drivers account until an admin reassigns it back to another driver.  Note: A driver should rarely be rejecting events if he is the primary operator of the vehicle. If the driver closes the app or ignores the unclaimed events, a red icon will appear on the app near the settings button that will allow them to accept or reject the events.

The carrier admins will see unclaimed driving events at the top right of the driver logs page as shown below.  To reassign those events simply click on the button to view the events.

You will see a list of events when they occurred, at what location and who they were rejected by.  To assign the unclaimed event, click Assign on the righthand side of the table.

Clicking Assign, will show a popup where you can select the new driver to assign the event to.  Once you select the driver in the dropdown, you can click ASSIGN and it will send it back to the driver on his driver mobile app where he can review and accept it.  You can reassign it back to the original driver as well, if the rejection was done in error.
