Bluetooth Connection Troubleshooting

There are a few reasons why your phone may not be able to connect to the ELD.  Below is a guide to follow if you are not able to connect.
1. To determine the status of the bluetooth connection, go to the home screen and check what color the bluetooth logo is shown in the image below

-If it is BLUE that means you are successfully connected.

- If it is GREY then your bluetooth is not enabled on your phone or if you have iOS device, you need to go to settings on your phone and allow bluetooth permission specifically for Bridgehaul app.

- If it is RED, then you are not connected to the ELD.  Follow the steps below:

2. Check to see if the ELD unit has a BLINKING blue light or SOLID blue light.  If it is SOLID blue and your bluetooth icon on your phone's home screen is RED then this means the ELD unit is locked in paired mode or is currently paired with a second mobile device.  Simply unplug the cable from the back of the ELD and replug it back in.  The light should be blinking blue again.  You can now go to ELD CONNECT in the settings menu and SCAN for the Bluelink.  It it should appear in your list of available devices and you can click on it to connect.  You will see the green check below once it is successfully connected.

NOTE:  DO NOT FORCE CLOSE YOUR APP WHILE YOU ARE CONNECTED TO ELD via Bluetooth.  Doing so will not terminate the Bluetooth connection on the ELD and you will need to unplug the device and re-plug it back in to reconnect.

If, when you go to ELD CONNECT in your settings menu and you see a message saying you must select a vehicle before connecting, go to Adding a Vehicle guide.
